Burlington Catholic School is located in the heart of Burlington, WI, educating students in grades K3-8th grade. BCS is seeking a qualified, passionate teacher to teach Music to our K3-3rd graders. This position is part-time beginning in February 2025; however, it could be made into full-time if preferred. As a teacher of BCS, you would also be eligible for benefits including insurance (medical, dental, and vision) if working full-time, funds for continuing education, and additional funds to enhance your classroom.
Qualifications
As a music teacher at Burlington Catholic School, candidates are required to :
- Have a valid teaching license to teach Music or a willingness to complete a plan of study to gain appropriate licensure
- Have experience working with students at the primary age
- Ability to play an instrument in order to lead music (piano, guitar, etc.)
- Plan / collaborate to lead two concerts per year
- Create student-driven, age-appropriate lessons and centers that follow the Archdiocesan exit expectations
- Have a willingness to collaborate with colleagues
- Have strong communication skills
- Be comfortable with implementing technology in one’s teaching and / or willingness to learn
- Have certification in (or willingness to get) Safeguarding All God’s People
