Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance
- Conduct and manage energy audits to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Implement and oversee retro-commissioning (RCx) processes to optimize building performance
- Ensure compliance with NYC local laws, including LL87, LL97, and other energy efficiency regulations
- Provide expertise in steam heating systems, optimizing performance and energy consumption
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop sustainable engineering solutions
- Mentor and guide engineering staff, fostering professional growth and development
- Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
- Extensive experience in energy auditing and identifying efficiency measures
- Proven expertise in retro-commissioning (RCx) and building optimization
- Strong understanding of NYC local laws related to building energy efficiency and sustainability
- Deep knowledge of steam heating systems and their applications in commercial and residential buildings
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, or CBCP are highly desirable
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
