Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Louisville, KY. This is a 75% travel role, where you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the fire alarm industry, including the necessary licenses and certifications to install fire alarm systems in Louisville. Additionally, experience with burglary alarm systems, door strikes, glass break sensors, and other security devices is highly preferred.
You will be provided with a company vehicle and the opportunity for plenty of overtime. Work schedule is Monday to Friday. We offer competitive pay, based on experience, with a range of $30 - $45 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems to meet local codes and safety standards in the Louisville area.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and up to code.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs and concerns during all service calls.
- Work in compliance with local fire alarm codes and regulations to ensure all installations and repairs meet required standards.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of burglary alarm systems, door strikes, glass break sensors, and other security equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service work, repairs, and installations.
- Work independently while managing your travel schedule and job assignments.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience installing and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.
- Valid certifications and licenses required to install fire alarm systems in Louisville, KY (e.g., Louisville Fire Alarm Technician License, NICET certification, or equivalent local fire alarm certification).
- Experience with burglary alarm systems, door strikes, glass break systems, and other security systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm system blueprints and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable with 75% travel within the Louisville area and surrounding regions.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
