Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Memphis, TN. This is a 75% travel role, where you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in the fire alarm industry and hold the necessary certifications and licenses to install fire alarm systems in Memphis and surrounding areas. Experience with burglary alarm systems, door strikes, glass break sensors, and other security devices is a plus.
This role offers competitive pay, with hourly wages ranging from $30 - $45 per hour based on experience, along with the opportunity for overtime. A company vehicle will be provided for all travel, and the work schedule is Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems to meet Tennessee state codes and local regulations in Memphis, TN.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and comply with local fire codes.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction with installations and repairs.
- Ensure all fire alarm systems comply with Memphis, TN fire codes and state regulations.
- Assist with the installation of burglary alarm systems, door strikes, glass break sensors, and other security systems.
- Maintain accurate service records of installations, repairs, and troubleshooting activities.
- Independently manage your schedule while ensuring timely completion of assignments.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience installing and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.
- Valid Tennessee Fire Alarm License required to install and service fire alarm systems in Memphis, TN.
- Tennessee Fire Alarm Technician Certification required for installation and servicing of fire alarm systems in Memphis.
- NICET certification in fire alarm systems or other industry-recognized qualifications is preferred.
- Experience with burglary alarm systems, door strikes, glass break sensors, and other security system devices is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret fire alarm system blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable with 75% travel within Memphis and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
