We are looking for a highly organized and process-driven Operations Manager to oversee payroll, contractor onboarding, compliance, and daily company operations . This role is critical in ensuring our workforce is paid accurately, processes run smoothly, and operational efficiency is continuously improved.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing payroll, contractor onboarding, workflow optimization, and compliance tracking. You will work closely with project managers, workforce deployment teams, and leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations .
Key Focus Areas :
Payroll & Contractor Management – Ensure all workers get paid accurately and on time.
Onboarding & Compliance – Oversee new hire documentation and workforce agreements.
Operational Oversight & Process Improvement – Identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows.
Communication & Coordination – Act as a liaison between departments to ensure alignment.
This role requires a proactive leader who can anticipate challenges, resolve issues independently, and continuously improve company operations.
Key Responsibilities Payroll & Contractor Management :
- Ensure 100% accuracy in payroll processing , verifying contractor hours before payments.
- Follow up on missing timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly.
- Track client payments vs. contractor payments to ensure smooth payroll processing.
- Monitor and enforce payment terms (ensuring payments are aligned with client pay cycles).
Onboarding & Compliance :
Operational Oversight & Process Improvement :
Team Coordination & Communication :
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Payroll Accuracy Rate : Ensuring 100% of payroll is processed correctly and on time .
Onboarding Completion Time : All new hires fully onboarded within X days .
Contractor Compliance Rate : 100% of workforce members have required documentation .
Operational Efficiency : Streamlining processes to reduce bottlenecks and improve workflow .
Timesheet Submission Rate : Ensuring all contractor hours are submitted by deadlines .
Bonus Potential : Performance-based incentives for achieving KPI goals (e.g., reducing payroll errors, improving onboarding efficiency, or implementing workflow improvements).
Ideal Candidate Profile :
3 years of experience in Operations, Payroll, HR, or a similar role, preferably in a consulting, workforce management, or staffing firm.
Strong understanding of payroll processing, workforce management, and compliance .
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven .
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues independently .
Excellent communication and follow-up skills to coordinate between teams and workforce members.
Experience with payroll systems, workforce tracking platforms, or operational tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Gusto, Paychex, BambooHR, Asana, Trello).
Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate operational needs before they arise .
