Job Listing: Pipe Bender Operator (Ridgid Conduit Bender)

Duration: 2 week project

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Pipe Bender Operator for a short-term, 1-2 week project. The successful candidate will be responsible for using Ridgid pipe bender tools to bend electrical conduit (EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit) to precise specifications and install it as part of an electrical system. This role requires a hands-on approach with a solid understanding of electrical codes and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduit Bending: Operate Ridgid pipe benders (manual or power bender) to bend electrical conduit (EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit) according to required angles and specifications
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to determine the type, size, and proper bending angles for conduit installation
• Conduit Installation: Install and secure bent conduit into place, ensuring it creates the proper pathways for electrical wiring. All installations must be level, straight, and meet code requirements
• Measurement and Marking: Accurately measure and mark conduit before bending to ensure proper placement and alignment during installation
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain Ridgid pipe bender tools and related equipment, ensuring they remain in excellent working condition throughout the project
• Quality Assurance: Inspect bends and conduit installations to ensure quality standards are met. Check for any kinks, improper bends, or defects that may affect the integrity of the electrical system
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in bending and installing electrical conduit, particularly with Ridgid pipe bender tools
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality work
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
