We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Midwest Refrigeration Inc. As a key member of our commercial service team, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration systems in grocery stores and other commercial facilities in the Griffith, Indiana area.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair refrigeration systems, including self-contained coolers and freezers, single and rack systems, and other mechanical and electrical components.
Perform minor plumbing repairs on refrigeration equipment, including walk-in drain lines, case drain lines, cooling towers, and water-cooled condensers.
Inspect plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems to identify specifications and requirements.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
Collaborate with grocery store managers and directors to ensure timely and effective service.
Quote equipment repairs and recommend replacement when necessary.
Maintain proper van stock, tools, and safety equipment on work vans.
Requirements:
2 years of prior HVAC/R experience.
Ability to pass a physical/drug screen/background investigation/driving abstract as needed.
Universal EPA License and Electrical License preferred.
2-3 years of grocery refrigeration/HVAC experience and related education/certification in the HVAC and refrigeration industry.
