POSITION SUMMARY

The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing and installing automated process equipment, facility systems, and software solutions.

This role involves troubleshooting and performing corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

The primary focus is on maintaining automated electromechanical systems and software, along with providing support for facility upgrades, equipment installations, and maintenance projects.

Typical tasks include developing equipment and system specifications and coordinating implementation efforts to bring these systems into operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Hands-on with PLCs, vision systems, SCADA, and automated packaging equipment. Corrective maintenance for high-purity utility systems.
• Project Engineering: Develop equipment and system specifications. Coordinate implementation and commissioning.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Improve reliability, data collection, and reporting systems. Ensure smooth interdepartmental communication.
• Documentation and Compliance: Prepare work orders, calibration data, and GMP-compliant reports. Use software for managing work orders and part inventory.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Software, or related fields.
• Experience: 7 years in industrial/process controls. Strong proficiency with Allen-Bradley; familiarity with Siemens and B&R is advantageous.
• Skills: Proven project planning and scheduling ability. Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities.
