Job Summary:
The Armored Group (TAG) is seeking a Production Lead to oversee the daily operations of our satellite plant in the Kannapolis, NC area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations management and be capable of leading a team, ensuring process optimization, and contributing to the growth and expansion of the operation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth execution of production processes.
- Manage and support a team of 15 employees, including welding and assembly personnel, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Plan and coordinate the expansion of the operation, including the hiring and training of additional higher-level assembly staff.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to set and achieve production goals and timelines.
- Continuously improve production processes to increase efficiency and enhance product quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that materials are available to meet production demands.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), making data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.
