Job Description
Title: Spa Manager
Reports to: Wellness Director

Job type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
Managing all aspects of the operation in accordance with the goals, objectives and culture set forth by Executive Management. Maintain a high standard of quality with regard to guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, safety and sanitation. Responsible for the delegation and completion of work on a day-to-day basis.
Job Duties:
- *Strive to increase guest count and total revenue, while maintaining quality of service
- *Review staffing needs daily and weekly for efficient management of labor cost
- *Ensure successful execution of all operating systems (checklists, assignments, scheduling) that impact the efficiency of the operation
- *Ensure proper guest check procedures, comp and void procedures
- *Facilitate and contribute to monthly departmental meetings
- *Responsible for assigned team member schedule
- *Contribute to the development and implementation of Training Programs
- *Ensure proper execution of all Human Resources functions (proper interviewing, hiring, documentation, etc.)
- Ensure that each guest experiences meets all of the appropriate quality standards
- Maintain a Culture of Service in the department at all times
- Immediately respond to guest comments and complaints, ensure the guest is accommodated and happy
- Greet, acknowledge and check back on every guest you encounter
- Ensure the spa maintains the highest quality service and hospitality
- Ensure the appropriate appearance of the entire outlet, both front and back of house.
- Ensure the upkeep of operating equipment, utensils and tools. Ensure that staff meet uniform and cleanliness standards
- Ensures successful execution of all operating systems (checklists, pre-shift meetings, daily assignment sheets, requisitions) that impact the standard of quality of the operation
- Monitor and ensure that safety and sanitation standards are met in both the front and back of house.
Communicates with staff through daily pre-shift meetings and monthly staff meetings Maintain or assist in maintaining an outlet “communication center” or bulletin board, posting schedules, guest comments, staff assignments, menu information, etc.
- Complete daily shift reports
- Maintain staff morale by empowering a positive and successful work environment
Skill and Qualifications:
- Experienced with minimum 2 to 3 years management position
- Experience in overseeing a staff of at least 10, including salon, aestheticians, massage therapist, administration and attendants.
- Experienced in business management skills and understand P&L.
- Able to effectively liaison with department managers and supervisors to ensure all objectives and budgets are met.
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral, computer literate.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to assist in any area of the resort as needed that is not specified in the above description.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be able to remain standing/walking for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours consecutively
