Overview
The Avionics Checkout position is a critical role within our team, responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance and the ability to work with various hand tools to fabricate and maintain avionics equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough checks on avionics systems to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to assess equipment specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical components of aircraft.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to support avionics operations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications performed on aircraft systems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the hangar environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on electrical systems is essential.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
- Experience using hand tools for fabrication and repair tasks.
- Background in vehicle maintenance can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
