Paralegal II – Collateral and Data

Location: Hybrid (Tuesday – Thursday, 2-3 days in-office required)

Flexible Hours: Start as early as 6:30 AM, end as late as 5:30 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a Paralegal II – Collateral and Data to join our team. This role is primarily focused on document review, data entry, and compliance monitoring related to collateral, flood certificates, insurance requirements, and mortgage expiration reviews. The ideal candidate has experience in lending, mortgage documentation, UCC filings, and compliance regulations and thrives in an analytical, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze collateral records, mortgage documents, and flood insurance compliance.
• Conduct data entry, tracking, and audits to ensure accuracy in collateral systems.
• Perform UCC lien searches to verify lien positions.
• Review title commitments, policies, abstracts, and surveys for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure legal documentation aligns with state regulations and internal guidelines.
• Assist in drafting and maintaining loan documents, mortgage templates, and resolutions.
• Research mortgage laws and assist in keeping legal reference materials up to date.
• Support internal teams by identifying discrepancies and providing data-driven recommendations.
• Maintain legal records, tracking systems, and compliance databases.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a lending, mortgage, or commercial law firm setting.
• Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of collateral management, UCC filings, flood compliance, and insurance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data review skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing job assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• No direct customer interaction – this role is fully internal-facing.
• Focus on data analysis, compliance tracking, and research, with minimal legal advisory work.
• Hybrid schedule with flexibility on start and end times.
• 30-minute interview process.
