What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at The Ashford?
The Ashford is an upscale casual restaurant and bar on Dresden Drive in the heart of Brookhaven. We are looking for a experienced server to join our team of guest hospitality experts.
The ideal candidate has experience with restaurants and customer service. They should also have some knowledge of cocktails and wines.. They will be able to work efficiently as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude. We put an emphasis on providing a fun and engaging hospitality focused guest experience.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work dinner hours (4pm-10pm)
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed. Our shifts are currently Tuesday-Sunday. Brunch Saturdays and Sundays
- Must have experience in upscale and elevated restaurant and/or cocktail bar environments
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and maintain customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including craft cocktails and wines, while demonstrating knowledge of drink recipes.
- Operate the Toast POS system for order processing and payment transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards and aesthetic of the venue.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and address customer needs effectively.
- Assist in private or restaurant events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.
