The Asia Group (TAG) is now accepting applications for a Communications Director. This role will be based in Washington, DC, but it also involves working closely with TAG’s Asia-based offices to deliver strong, outward-facing communications outcomes.

The Communications Director will work with TAG’s Leadership and Operations team and TAG’s Geopolitics and Research team, as well as TAG’s Asia-based offices, under the general direction of Chief Operating Officer Enoch Kim. They will be responsible for developing and executing a firm-wide communications strategy to boost the global visibility and impact of TAG thought leadership and media outreach efforts. They will also oversee internal communications to ensure alignment, engagement, and transparency across the organization.
Responsibilities Include
External Communications :
- Developing and executing a firm-wide communications strategy for boosting the visibility and impact of TAG thought leadership and media outreach efforts in both the United States and Asia;
- Managing incoming media inquiries and cultivating close relationships with stakeholders in the international journalism and policy communities;
- Working closely with the Leadership and Operations Team and the Geopolitics and Research Team to link strategic communications efforts with firmwide business development priorities;
- Innovating firmwide systems and processes for branding, marketing, and posting TAG long-form reports, commentaries, webinars, and other public-facing deliverables;
- Curating TAG’s official website and social media accounts, including regular analytic reports.

Required Experience And Qualifications
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and are expected to work in-person at the TAG DC office five days per week. TAG provides competitive benefits including premium health insurance, generous paid time off, 401k matching, and commuter allowances with regular training opportunities available to its employees. For this role, TAG offers a salary of $110,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience, with eligibility for a discretionary end of year bonus.
