The Senior Associate will be an integral member of the Geopolitics and Research Team led by TAG Managing Partner Amb. Kurt Tong and Senior Vice President for Geopolitics and Research Tiffany Ma. Key tasks include supporting client deliverables, providing analysis to regular client-specific products, and responding to adhoc client requests. The Senior Associate will also help produce pan-client analytic products and contribute to promoting TAG’s thought leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring professional experience from government, business intelligence, the think tank community, consulting, or equivalent. They should also demonstrate knowledge of geopolitical trends and their implications for business. Professional competency in an Indo-Pacific language (especially Mandarin), and familiarity with China and at least one other Indo-Pacific market (especially Japan, South Korea, or Southeast Asia) is preferred.

Responsibilities Include
- Supporting client engagement, including briefings, compiling and editing regular written deliverables, and responding to ad-hoc requests
- Providing logistical support for clients and TAG leadership related to client engagements in Washington DC or client sites in other locations
- Generate original analyses on trends and topics at the intersection of geopolitics and business
- Drafting and editing pan-client products on emerging geopolitical trends, as well as TAG’s Daily Asia newsletter
- Supporting internal initiatives related to standardizing processes and outputs across the firm, including training and other firm-wide initiatives
- May be assigned other special projects or duties according to business needs.
- Experience in client servicing and project management;
- Advanced degree (e.g. MA/MBA/MPP) and at least 4 years’ relevant work experience;
- Exceptional communication skills, including a collegial attitude and a passion for client servicing;
- Command over key geopolitical topics and their business implications, including strategic competition, economic fragmentation, technological disruption, energy and climate change, and demographic shifts;
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, communicate clearly, and reliably manage competing priorities;
- Team player with positive, proactive, and professional attitude; eager for professional development and open to learning;
- Flexibility with respect to working and communication hours, particularly when coordinating TAG’s Indo-Pacific offices and overseas clients;
- Business-level English proficiency and familiarity with at least one Indo-Pacific language.
- On-the-ground work experience in Asia

Salary : $78,000 - $105,000
