Location: Village on the Park Onion Creek, an Independent Living and Assisted Living senior community.
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.
Schedule: Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
- Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
- Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
- Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
- Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
- Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
- Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
- Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
- Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
- Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
- Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
- Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
- Attend all required in-service training sessions.
- Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
- Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
