Na’aleh: The Hub for Leadership Learning seeks a relationship-oriented professional to lead the organization’s critical work of developing volunteer and professional leaders to guide the greater Baltimore Jewish community.

Na’aleh is a five-year-old organization that is a merger of successful leadership-focused institutions. With an operating budget of nearly $1M and a team of four dedicated professionals, Na’aleh is an innovative, community-based organization devoted to Jewish leadership development. Now entering its sixth year and having completed its initial phase as a merged entity, Na’aleh is ready to grow and expand its presence and impact in the Baltimore Jewish community.
An agency of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, Na’aleh enjoys the support, consultation, collaboration and full partnership of The Associated. It also thrives in collaboration with other Associated agencies, synagogues, schools and the full range of Jewish organizations and individuals in the greater Baltimore region.

The Position
We seek an inspiring, collaborative individual with a proven track record of excellent leadership and deep relational skills to become the next Executive Director and advance the goals and mission of Na’aleh.
What You Will Do
Broaden Engagement
Engage the organization’s Board in deep and meaningful ways to grow the base of support and direction for Na’aleh
Build and leverage partnerships by collaborating with strategic partners to advance organizational goals efficiently and effectively
Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, funders, professionals and community leaders
Design inspiring, evidence-based approaches to meeting the needs of various leaders
Develop a culture of belonging that celebrates diversity
Access a wide-range of expertise from across our community
Expand and Enhance Services and Resources
Guide the development of high-quality, relevant programming informed by Jewish values
Advance existing programming to support high-level lay leaders, cohort-based opportunities, signature programs and workshops together with communities of practice, programs and learning opportunities for professionals
Develop new offerings that deepen leadership abilities
Expand skills-based training for lay and professional leaders
Provide multi-dimensional resources for leaders to learn and grow
Strengthen Na’aleh’s brand
Develop the organization’s identity in a compelling and relevant way for our community and beyond
Communicate with clarity Na’aleh’s mission and values
Understand the needs of various constituencies
Foster Operational Excellence
Develop the financial resources needed for Na’aleh to grow and thrive
Ensure effective marketing and communication strategies to grow Na’aleh’s role and presence in the community
Implement data-based systems to provide continuous feedback into Na’aleh’s goals and programming
Successfully manage financial systems
Cultivate and lead an effective, collaborative and vibrant professional team
Nurture an engaged, experienced, high-performing board

You will also have
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
High level of Jewish knowledge and culture
Proficiency in the field of leadership training
Experience working with and serving on nonprofit boards and committees
Knowledge of professional growth and development
Executive-level supervisory experience
10-15 years of work-related experience
Familiarity with emerging technologies and ability to leverage new media
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
An enthusiasm for living in Baltimore
Compensation
Salary Range: Starting salary $150,000 commensurate with experience
