SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Plant Operation Senior Director, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the building spaces (to include: classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, gym, fitness center, hallways) and grounds are clean and ready for use, set-ups and break-downs are done correctly and in a timely manner, and housekeeping staff are trained and perform their jobs. The Incumbent will provide direct supervision to the Housekeeping staff and ultimately is responsible for ensuring that daily housekeeping operations run smoothly.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate room set-up and breakdowns.
Responsible for making routine building inspections.
Responsible for insuring that the facility and grounds are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner on a daily basis.
Assist in cleaning, room set ups and breakdowns and other Housekeeping duties as needed.
Schedule staff to work special events and activities that occur after regular operating hours.
Responsible for working during events and after regular operating hours, when needed.
Calculate department personnel timecards.
Responsible for inventory of and ordering supplies and equipment.
Responsible for reporting when repairs are needed to facilities and equipment.
Responsible for assisting the Plant Operations senior Director with scheduling staff.
Communicate any staff concerns or problems to the Plant Operations senior director
All other activities pertaining to Housekeeping.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of facility maintenance equipment and chemicals.
Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
Ability to interview, hire, assess personnel, and process appropriate paperwork.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Must be bilingual (able to speak and communicate in Spanish and English)

The employee must frequently lift and/or move items such as tables, chairs, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Employee will need to be able to work both indoors and outside in temperatures that can be both cold or hot and possibly during inclement weather.
