About the team:
The Technology Department executes research on the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and manages the MTConnect Institute. The Institute is a standards development organization (SDO) that generates and maintains the MTConnect Standard. This is a communication standard that enables the growth of digital manufacturing.
About the role:
This role will oversee all projects within the institute. This includes yearly standards development and releases, SC Committee meetings, Working Groups, proposal writing, and capture.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop project plans with clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation.
- Report project health based on operational metrics.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead project lifecycle, which includes proposal/planning, execution, and closure.
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in PMP business administration or related fields, or 4 Years of relevant experience
- PMP Certification
- Strong listening, writing, and speaking abilities, as well as attention to detail and organization; writing ability includes coverage of business and technical topics
- Experience interacting with non-technical stakeholders to ensure a complete and accurate understanding of business needs and conditions and translating those into user stories
- Experience coordinating with technical stakeholders
- Experience producing and delivering software
- Experience in writing proposals and grants
- Experience working in Agile Development methodology
- MS Office Experience (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
