The ASTA Group, LLC is accepting resumes to fill an upcoming Facilities Planner Manager position in Virginia Beach, VA. Position is open due to an upcoming retirement.
Job Requirements:
- At least 10 years of Navy Planning (Shore Planning) and Facilities Management experience.
- BS Degree in Engineering (Civil/Architect/Planning/Management or related)
- Understanding of facility components, systems, and their associated maintenance requirements.
- Experience and knowledge of Navy Facility Management requirements and practices.
- Experience and knowledge of Navy Facility Planning requirements, documentation, and approval processes. (Shore Planning)
- Develop facility and project concept drawings/sketches.
- Knowledge of, and experience working with, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Public Works Departments and how they deliver facility management and maintenance support services.
- Knowledge of Basic Fiscal Law requirements, funding types, processes and requirements.
- Ability to develop and estimate the cost of facility repair and construction projects.
- Ability to support subordinate command components with planning and facility issues.
- Ability to travel to support site and assist visits to CENSECFOR components
- Interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration and coordination.
- Project status tracking, reporting and briefing.
- Written communication skills to include email correspondence and drafting official documents.
- Prepare professional briefing products as if relates to facilities planning, estimating and tracking.
