INFORMATION ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN (IAT) FUNCTIONAL ANALYST:
The ASTA Group, LLC is Interviewing for an Information Assurance Technician/Functional Analyst with Navy, Marines or civilian related IT Helpdesk/Network expertise.
- Work is performed on-site only (No remote work offered)
- You must live within commuting distance of Little Creek, VA.
- Active Security Clearance or Eligibility is required
(Candidates outside of the region will not be considered)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to take on tasks with minimum supervision
- Know how to recognize and identify potential cyber security violations and be familiar with the reporting procedures according to Navy regulations
- Must be able to perform IA tasks within the computer environment (CE).
- Provide end-user IA support for all CE operating systems, peripherals and applications
- Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot HW/SW IA issues pertaining to CE
- Install and operate the IT systems in a test configuration manner that does not alter the program code or compromise security safeguards
- Conduct tests of IA safeguards in accordance with established test plans and procedures
- Implement online warnings to inform users of access rules for CE systems
- Implement applicable patches including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA) for the CE systems
- Associates degree and 2 years’ experience in IT and Security Management or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT
- CompTIA Security Certification must be current
- Active Security Clearance or must be within the reactivation period
- Must have a Valid driver’s license
