Role Expectations

As a Staff Physical Therapist at The Athlete’s Physical Therapist, you will:

• Provide [number] 1:1, hour-long sessions per month to a highly motivated and athletic population.
• Collaborate with a team of DPTs to deliver personalized, performance-based care.
• Participate in clinic marketing and community outreach to help grow our practice.
• Maintain minimal but thorough documentation for patient care.
• Integrate functional movement and strength-based principles into treatment plans.
• Commit to providing exceptional patient care that aligns with our mission of revolutionizing physical therapy.

Growth Opportunities

This is a full-time role in a fully outfitted gym. Additional opportunities include mentorship roles, marketing, or leading performance-based initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Humility and a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred:

• An active lifestyle and familiarity with fitness-oriented treatment models.
• Interest or experience in performance-based care for active individuals.
• Experience in marketing or community outreach initiatives (training provided if necessary).

Patient Demographics

Our patients include athletes, weekend warriors, and active individuals ranging from teenagers to retirees. We work with those passionate about movement and performance, whether they’re recovering from injury or optimizing their physical abilities.

Technology and Tools

You’ll work with state-of-the-art tools and technology to assess and improve patient performance, including diagnostic equipment, performance tracking systems, and treatment platforms like PTEverywhere and True Coach.
