Associate Phlebotomist ( 3 years US experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Associate Phlebotomist to provide exceptional patient-facing service and high-quality phlebotomy support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The professional is responsible for collecting blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring patient comfort, accuracy, and confidentiality throughout the process. This position may involve assignments in doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other clinical settings based on business needs.
Compensation: $21-$23/hour
Location: Derry, NH
Schedule: 6am to 2:30pm and sometimes 8:00am to 5:30pm with rotating Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operational activities under supervision while ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established protocols
- Accurately label specimens in the presence of the patient and verify demographic details
- Maintain all required documentation and quality control records
- Deliver outstanding customer service and promote a positive image of the organization
- Travel to various locations as needed with short notice
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections required
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Customer service experience in a retail or clinical setting preferred
- Must possess keyboard and data entry proficiency
Additional Requirements:
- Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record required
- Strong multitasking skills, superior customer focus, and openness to change
