Job Overview:
The Bilingual Phlebotomist plays a vital role in providing high-quality phlebotomy services while ensuring a positive and professional patient experience. This position involves collecting and processing blood specimens, verifying patient information, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to safety and compliance protocols. The phlebotomist must be capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while demonstrating exceptional customer service and professionalism.
Compensation: $17-$19/hour
Location: Cape Coral, FL
Schedule: M-F 6:00 am to 11:00 am and Saturday 6:00 am to 10: 00 am
Responsibilities:
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with precision.
- Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for patients and staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service, fostering trust and confidence with patients.
- Work independently while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Adhere to company policies, dress code, health & safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting preferred.
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required.
Additional Requirements:
- Reliable transportation required (bus, Uber, or rideshare is NOT considered reliable transportation).
- Bilingual candidates (English & Spanish) must have excellent proficiency in both languages.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
- Candidates must reside within a 20-25 minute commute of the assigned worksite.
