Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of materials, parts, and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
- Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to perform detailed inspections and quality checks.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to verify product conformity.
- Document and report non-conformances, defects, and deviations, and collaborate with the production team to address and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, tests, and other quality assurance activities.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) using Net-Inspect and ensure compliance with AS9102 and other relevant quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and quality improvements.
- Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in quality control or inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) is a plus.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
