Overview
Responsible for ensuring that materials are verified against pertinent documentation such as bills of material, work orders and Parts Lists. Coordinates and communicates with the Structural Assembly Supervisor and Inventory Manager though out the day to ensure that all issues and customer service needs are being met. Compiles records concerned with issuing and maintaining material and equipment inventory levels by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions as applicable
- Accurately and efficiently complete electronic transactions pertinent to Issuing, un-issuing and receiving of parts and materials using the ERP system.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs for the Structural Assembly Department.
- Move freight, stock or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships or containers by hand or using trucks, tractors or other equipment
- Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding or strapping, foaming, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
- Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
- Assist in the bag& tag of all Mfg parts.
- Maintain a clean working area.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills:
- Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and ERP systems.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Ability to sort, check, count and verify numbers
- Ability to receive, track, stock and distribute materials, supplies and equipment
- Use basic measuring tools accustomed to this trade
- Simple arithmetic
- Knowledge of postal and commercial shipping methods and procedures
- Records maintenance skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, One (1) year work related experience
Physical Requirements:
Stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must have close visual acuity. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust. Reasonable accomodations will be made for those with disabuilities and/or restrictions.
