Overview
Production Flow Coordinator
Job Description: The Production Flow Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the flow of materials, products, and work processes within a manufacturing or production facility. This includes coordinating production schedules, optimizing workflow efficiency, ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials, and troubleshooting any disruptions in the production process. The role is crucial in improving throughput, minimizing downtime, and ensuring the facility meets production targets. Works closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering to ensure production orders are adequately released and scheduled to support customer requirements as well as various other support duties.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the physical movement of materials, components, and finished products through the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Generate and distribute daily schedule’s.
- Generate and distribute daily plant-wide 5S board data.
- Review Andon boards daily to ensure product flow supports need dates and assembly lines.
- Review released jobs for issues/held for items and document in operation status notes.
- Interact with shop floor personnel as required in support of order fulfillment.
- Assist in scheduling/prioritizing workflow per shop / customer schedules.
- Perform WO splits as necessary to support production/ customer requirements.
- Cleaning up transactional data (journals), closing / open operations, adjusting pick quantities etc.
- Assist Engineering by pulling work orders for redline or stop work.
- Ensure that production processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and MRP manufacturing software.
Education/Experience Preferred:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Working knowledge of MRP system function
- Good communication skills
- Able to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities
- Skills in problem solving
- Forklift Certification Preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. PPE/ Safety glasses are required.
