Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated AP Calculus Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching advanced placement calculus, a passion for fostering academic excellence, and a commitment to integrating Catholic principles into the learning experience.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement a rigorous and engaging Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus curriculum for high school students, aligned with College Board standards.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and active student participation.
Integrate Catholic values into the teaching of AP Calculus, helping students make connections between mathematics and their faith.
Utilize various instructional methods, technology, and real-world applications to enhance the learning experience.
Assess and evaluate student progress through multiple forms of assessment, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary connections and contribute to the overall academic program.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field with 12 credit hours in education.
Valid teaching certification with a focus on Advanced Placement Calculus. (Not Required)
Proven experience in teaching AP Calculus, with a strong understanding of the College Board curriculum.
Commitment to integrating Catholic teachings into the curriculum and fostering the spiritual development of students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
Willingness to contribute to the vibrant Catholic school community through participation in school events and activities.
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
Willingness to take an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
