SHIFT: Full-time (rotating weekends)

SHIFTS-

Nights/10P-6:30A/8;10;12hr shifts ONLY- 3rd shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and tissue analyses.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Prepare and process specimens for analysis.
  • Perform quality control and assurance procedures.
  • Analyze test results and correlate findings with clinical data.
  • Document and report results timely and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and supervise junior staff and students.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage laboratory inventory and supplies.
  • Participate in laboratory accreditation processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues in testing procedures.
  • Assist in the development of new laboratory protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
  • Medical Technologist certification (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
  • State licensure as required in Florida.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and laboratory data interpretation.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Experience with laboratory accreditation processes is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced laboratory equipment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing workflows.
