Position: Nurse Manager NICU RN - Houston - URGENT

Role Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Manage nursing staff including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement evidence-based nursing protocols and clinical practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Conduct staff meetings to address concerns and share best practices.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to maintain unit operations.
- Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff for professional development.
- Address patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Coordinate with ancillary services for comprehensive patient management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation on patient care and interventions.
- Implement infection control measures to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Engage in continuous education and professional development opportunities.
- 2 years of Recent (Within the last year) Acute Care NICU Leadership (Manager or Charge Nurse) experience required.
- BSN required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required
