Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the OpenTable system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Assist with bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces to ensure cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Handle cash register transactions efficiently, including processing payments and providing change.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards at all times.
- Help create a positive atmosphere by engaging with guests and addressing any concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Proficiency in using cash registers and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
