Erikson Scholars become part of the clinical and intellectual life of The Austen Riggs Center through work on a proposed project and presentations to practitioners and scholars in the community. The residency program provides a unique opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary work that spans a broad range of psychiatric, social, cultural, and theoretical issues. As an Erikson Scholar-in-Residence, you will have access to the Center's library and receive administrative support during your 3.5-month term. The Center's clinical work provides a rich context for exploring the complexities of human behavior and experience. A strong candidate will have a background in one or more of the following fields: medicine, psychiatry, genomics, psychoanalysis, neuroscience, anthropology, history, law, literary criticism, political science, sociology, and other disciplines in the arts and sciences.
