The Project Superintendent is responsible for organizing and supervising all construction operations on assigned projects or assigned areas of larger projects. This position is responsible for becoming knowledgeable with all contract documents, budgets, construction drawings and specifications and schedules to thoroughly understand the scope of work to be accomplished. The Project Superintendent must ensure that all vendors, subcontractors and materials are available and onsite at the proper times. The Project Superintendent coordinates with all subordinate level superintendents and/or field construction staffing assigned to him/her, in order to ensure proper planning, coordination and communication of all site activities. The Project Superintendent ensures that all daily reports and other field documentation, required for historical reference, are accurate and input into the project management software. Periodic inspections of the work being accomplished are required to ascertain work is being accomplished according to the contract and to limit scope creep and to control costs. This position creates daily progress reports and assists other departments in the preparation of reports concerning the status of fieldwork.

Requirements
- Eight or more years of construction field operations experience and/or skilled trades leadership experience. 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field a plus.
- Must be able to travel to and work at the project site, this travel may be up to 100%.
- Occasionally Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance,
- Frequently Work in a loud environment.
- Frequently Work outdoors in high and low temperatures.
- Occasionally May work in high and/or precarious places.
- Occasionally Work indoors.

- May function as the overall lead in the field depending on project size and project specific assignments.
- Responsible for safety procedures related to construction activities.
- Works closely with subcontractors and/or crews to promote safety in all construction activities to ensure safe means and methods are in place to eliminate accidents.
- Ensures the project is constructed in accordance with the contract documents, within the schedule, and at the lowest possible cost
- Develops and maintains positive work relationship with clients to ensure positive communications while addressing all concerns timely
- Develops relationships with subcontractors and/or crews to ensure a collaborative environment that allows for quick and open communications about project status, concerns and risks.
- Coordinate and communicate all field activities with Engineering, Estimating, Purchasing, Project Management and Accounting Departments, as assigned within the project, allow for expeditious completion of the project.
- Assist all departments in preparation and updating of reports required to inform Region/Division management and the client of the project status.
- Train and provide performance feedback to other field team members.
- As assigned, may have leadership or supervisory responsibilities over other project team members.
