Requirements
- Requires a 4-year engineering degree and 8 years of related experience.
- Incumbent must be cognizant of the capabilities and limitations of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment to effectively direct their use for diverse engineering assignments.

- Revit: coordinate design with use of Revit or Plant 3D to ensure that there are no conflicts and interferences between designed systems

- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Yes, up to 25% travel may be necessary.

- Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
- Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability
- Monitors project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
- Provides input for proposals, engages with proposal teams, managers
- Represents respective projects at meetings and conferences
- May plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for a project of significant size and complexity (e.g., project requiring the integration of two or more engineering disciplines), or two or more projects of moderate size and complexity (e.g., projects involving a single engineering discipline)
- May provide direction and supervision to lower level team members
- Develop specifications, working drawings, instructions and other related documents based on design criteria of a complex project size of large size or multiple projects
- Prepare analysis and study report
- Analyze complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
- Consult with construction personnel concerning complex design constructability issues
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and oversee the work of Level I, II, and Level III designers who assist with projects
- Plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for a project of significant size and complexity or two or more projects of moderate size and complexity
- Communicate appropriate information on project status, scope changes, and problem areas to the Manager of Process Engineering.
- Ensure that project files with calculations and other data are stored in project folders for future reference
- Review complex designs from basic data
- Review detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Review material take-offs, cost estimates, and project schedules as required
- Participate in project meetings, offering expertise and insights to support project milestones and deadlines
