The Project Engineer will be responsible for document controls, will perform field inspections for various construction activities at the project site to verify that construction work is in compliance with the plans and specifications, and with minimal oversight will manage specific subcontract agreements, participate in both OAC and Subcontractor meetings. Various duties may be assigned to the Project Engineer that pertain to administrative tasks to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the Company’s construction processes.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for document controls, will perform field inspections for various construction activities at the project site to verify that construction work is in compliance with the plans and specifications, and with minimal oversight will manage specific subcontract agreements, participate in both OAC and Subcontractor meetings. Various duties may be assigned to the Project Engineer that pertain to administrative tasks to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the Company’s construction processes.
Requirements
- Normally requires a degree in construction management or related field and 1 -3 years of Project Engineer experience or related construction field experience
- This position will prepare the incumbent for advancement into various Construction supervisory positions or for work in other departments within the Company
- Frequently Work in a loud environment
- Frequently Work outdoors in high and low temperatures
- Occasionally May work in high and/or precarious places
- Occasionally Work indoors
- Occasionally Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel
- Must be able to travel to and work at the project site, this travel may be up to 100%

- Administration/Management of document controls for the site office including ensuring Subcontractors are working from the most current documents and work product meets current design.
- Inspect work as it is installed to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications.
- Perform specific management type tasks as directed by the Project Superintendent to assist him/her in completing work on the project
- Review subcontractor reports and compile the Daily Construction Report
- Conduct site orientation for new workers
- Promote safety in all construction operations to limit or reduce accidents on the Project
- Conduct site safety and housekeeping audits
- Monitor and record manhours and safety related statistics
- Produce pertinent documents through operation of the project management system (Procore) to provide required information to keep project on schedule. These documents include but are not limited to are RFIs, Submittals, Non-Compliance notifications, Management Logs, Change Order Request, Owner Change Order Requests, Meeting Minutes and other specific documents
- Facilitate Schedule Review Meetings and Pull Planning Sessions as required to manage project schedule and milestone schedules
