Job Summary The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure exceptional customer service, profitability and team development. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring food quality and compliance with safety standards, and leading a motivated team to deliver outstanding dining experiences. Key Responsibilities Operational Management : - Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations - Manage inventory, order supplies, and reduce waste - Monitor food preparation and presentation standards Customer Experience : - Maintain a high standard of customer service and resolve guest complaints promptly - Monitor and respond to customer reviews to improve service quality - Create and maintain a welcoming environment for guests Financial Management - Assist with development and management of the restaurants budget, including cost control, payroll, and revenue - Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to meet financial goals Team Leadership - Recruit, train, and mentor staff to uphold restaurant standards - Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours - Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans Skill & Qualifications - Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar leadership role - Strong knowledge of restaurant management software - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of food safety regulations and attention to detail Additional Responsibilities - Acknowledges, greets, and thanks all guests - May be required to fill in as bartender, server, host, etc. as needed - Remains aware of all events, large parties, and reservations that may affect the food and beverage operations - Maintains knowledge of local competition and industry trends - Implements and supports all Avery initiatives and programs as requested - Other duties may be assigned Licenses and Special Requirements - TIPS certification - Food safety certification - Knowledge of applicable liquor laws, procedures and policies, ability to determine signs of intoxication - Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages - Experience in resolving customer issues / complaints as well as overall excellent customer service required Physical Demands and Work Environment - Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach - Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds - Continuous repetitive motions
