We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly smile upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Manage waitlists and reservations using POS (Point of Sale) or Aloha POS system
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and lobby area
- Help resolve any guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner
- Provide general assistance to guests as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or guest relations is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills to handle guest concerns or complaints
- Familiarity with POS or Aloha POS systems is a plus
- A positive attitude and willingness to help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests
- Proficent in OpenTable Reservation Software
