About The Role
We are seeking an Apple Program Coordinator to work with our Technology Team. This employee will help establish the management of our new 1:1 program for our Secondary Division as well as our iPad 1:1 program. This position will provide support for Apple devices and ecosystems to faculty, staff, students and parents across the Awty community. This position must be able to work with various software, such as JAMF, Apple Classroom and Apple School Manager as well as Apple hardware, be an adept troubleshooter, and be a customer service-oriented professional. The position will also work to ensure seamless integration and operation of Apple systems within our educational environment. This position reports to the Director of IT and Information Systems.

- Oversee the Awty Laptop and iPad Program for Lower School and Secondary School (1:1 program).
- Oversee forecasting and budget management of the 1:1 program.
- Responsible for ordering all devices and supporting hardware and software for the program.
- Responsible for building and planning the deployment of all MDM packages for new student, faculty and staff devices.
- Responsible for repealing all MDM policies and management profiles from Awty Devices once students, faculty and staff leave.
- Liaise with the Secondary Division to schedule all beginning of year laptop training sessions in collaboration with the Director of Educational Technology.
- Assist in the student, faculty and staff computer and systems training.
- Manage technology platforms including but not limited to:
- JAMF or other MDM platforms.
- Apple School Manager, DEP or any other Apple-related identity management programs.
- IncidentIQ or current ticketing system.
- Manage device and parts inventory as well as parts ordering through GSX or equivalent.
- Maintain Apple Device inventory and lifecycle management in IncidentIQ
- Track and manage equipment from acquisition to disposal.
- Help establish Awty’s GSX program with Apple.
- Maintain appropriate stock of parts and supplies for the Awty Helpdesk.
- Manage 1:1 Program helpdesk tickets and asset tracking with IncidentIQ.
- Manage projects assigned by the Director of Technology and Information Systems.
- Other tech support duties as assigned.
- Respond promptly to user tickets, diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software and network systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the operation of IT Systems.
- Provide technical assistance for A/V setups and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- A/V Setup and Support:
- Assist with the logistics of A/V setups, including preparation and configuration.
- Create and maintain training materials to support users in operating A/V equipment.
- Provide hands-on support for A/V equipment during events when necessary.
- Configure and troubleshoot Apple AirPlay, Apple TV, and other Apple connectivity solutions.
- Documenting and Reporting:
- Keep detailed and accurate records of support activities and solutions in the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures to enhance Help Desk efficiency.
- Planning and development of a Technology Helpdesk class, where students act as interns while they work with our staff to become Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians (ACMT). This role oversees and leads the development.
- Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of hardware, software and network systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and assist in training summer student interns.
- Patience and a customer-focused approach when dealing with students and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Apple diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
- Understanding of Apple deployment and management solutions in educational environments.

- A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience
