We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our client's dynamic Healthcare / Sciences Department in Voorhes, NJ! This position is focused on supporting project managers and senior engineers in designing mechanical (HVAC) systems for a variety of clients.
As Mechanical Engineer II, this individual will collaborate with the design team within their discipline and the Project Manager to ensure the timely and efficient execution of project objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing Acute and Ambulatory Care Health Facilities, as well as Academic and Corporate Research Facilities.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our Voorhees, NJ office.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design energy-efficient HVAC and mechanical systems according to client specifications.
- Perform load calculations and energy modeling using tools such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, Energy Star, and / or Carrier HAP.
- Regularly review project progress to ensure it meets departmental standards, client needs, and budget constraints.
- Utilize Revit for the design, layout, and verification of mechanical and HVAC drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate regularly with facility owners and architects, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Review shop drawings and support construction administration as needed.
- Provide guidance to less experienced Engineers in Training on project tasks.
- Conduct site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings, and offer field construction support as required.
- Assist with training and development for engineers, designers, and drafters involved in projects.
- Contribute to proposal development, client management, and overall project execution in collaboration with the Project Manager.
