We are currently seeking a Project Enginee r for our client in South Plainsfield NJ!
The project engineer position is an integral part of the project and works with project management and field management to construct a safe and quality product while remaining under budget, improving operating profits, and maintaining excellent customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Negotiates with vendors / subcontractors and issues purchase orders / contracts.
- Coordinates, reviews, and submits working drawings and ensures that subcontractors submit certified payrolls, monthly project workforce reports, EEO paperwork, and other required documents in a timely fashion.
- Actively participates in the preparation of look ahead schedules and monthly schedule updates.
- Reviews and approves foreperson’s time cards and diaries.
- Prepares force account billing.
- Visits site daily and meets with crews and subcontractors.
- Reviews material needs and schedules deliveries.
