Proposal Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proposal Manager to lead and oversee the coordination, development, and delivery of detailed proposals for our client's team right in Philadelphia, PA!

Our client is a full-service, multidisciplinary architecture and interior design firm that specializes in creating innovative and sustainable design solutions across various industries, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and hospitality. They blend expert architectural design with advanced 3D visualization technology to bring clients' visions to life.

As Proposal Manager, this individual will manage proposal efforts, collaborate with various departments, and ensure all submissions meet organizational goals, deadlines, and client expectations. The Proposal Manager will guide the proposal team through the proposal lifecycle, from concept through final delivery, ensuring the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage high-stakes proposal efforts, working closely with senior leadership, business development, and project teams to craft compelling proposals that align with client needs and company objectives.
• Develop and execute strategies for proposal development and submission, ensuring timely delivery while meeting all client specifications and requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant materials and information for proposals, providing guidance and mentorship to junior proposal staff, and ensuring all proposals are completed on time and with precision.
• Oversee the proposal process from start to finish, ensuring all documents are meticulously assembled, organized, and presented. Review proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Implement quality assurance processes for all proposal submissions, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and company standards. Continuously improve proposal development processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Engage with key stakeholders to understand project objectives, capture client-specific requirements, and incorporate feedback into the proposal process.
• Contribute to the development of innovative strategies that differentiate the firm in the marketplace and enhance the success rate of proposals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in proposal management, preferably within the architecture, engineering, and or construction industries.
• Proven experience leading and managing complex proposal efforts with a strong understanding of the proposal lifecycle, client expectations, and business development strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling and clear proposal content.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in proposal tools, project management software, and document management systems.
• Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems proactively, and contribute to the strategic direction of the organization.
