Essential Functions
- Upholds AZEK’s Mission Statement and Core Values while maintaining professional standards and accountability.
- Adheres to all company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Supervises maintenance personnel within the blending & facilities maintenance department to provide quality support for manufacturing operations.
- Inspects plant facilities and blending equipment, identifying necessary repairs, replacements, or improvements.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and administrative policies.
- Promotes workplace safety through proactive risk identification and communication.
- Communicates daily issues and updates to the Wood Plant Maintenance Manager and other relevant personnel.
- Directs maintenance personnel in performing repairs and upkeep of blending systems, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Coordinates contractor projects & activities, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Provides on-the-job training to maintenance personnel to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assists in the development and execution of capital projects related to plant infrastructure and blending equipment.
- Ensures preventive maintenance schedules for blending equipment and facilities are effectively implemented and followed.
- Participates in the selection and onboarding of maintenance personnel who align with company culture and objectives.
- Maintains knowledge of innovative technologies and industry advancements that improve plant and machinery operations.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Assists in meeting environmental requirements and supports compliance reporting and internal auditing efforts.
- Must be available to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as needed to support 24/7 operations.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with blending or extrusion processes.
- Experience with pneumatic conveyance systems required.
- Knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Ability to plan and execute maintenance schedules for blending and plant equipment.
- Experience maintaining electrical and plant systems.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with experience managing maintenance personnel.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CMMS programs such as E-Maintenance preferred.
