This role requires a results-oriented leader with a proven track record of driving operational excellence in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $200,000 in our lowest market up to $215,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Expectations
- Operational Excellence & Production Performance
- Ensure 95% on time production while meeting or exceeding customer specifications and quality standards.
- Drive a 5-10% improvement in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through strategic process enhancements.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency by at least 10%.
- Oversee a 24/7 operation, ensuring seamless production continuity and rapid issue resolution.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance team, ensuring 90% employee retention among key personnel.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety, maintaining a zero-incident safety record.
- Partner with HR to drive structured training programs, improving team skill sets and cross-functional capabilities.
- Quality & Compliance
- Maintain a 98% first pass yield rate, reducing rework and scrap costs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and industry standards through rigorous audits and proactive measures.
- Develop and implement robust quality control processes, leading to a 20% reduction in defects.
- Strategic Planning & Cost Optimization
- Develop and execute a three-year operational strategy to align manufacturing capabilities with business growth.
- Manage the department’s budget, reducing operational costs by 5-10% annually without compromising quality.
- Improve supply chain efficiency, reduce inventory carrying costs and optimizing raw material procurement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage ERP and manufacturing systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle) to track KPIs and improve production forecasting accuracy by 15%.
- Use analytics to optimize machine uptime and reduce unplanned downtime by 20%.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 15-20 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role in composite extrusion or a related industry (wood, PVC, railing, or similar materials).
- Proven experience managing a 24/7 operation and working on-site with flexible availability.
- Strong knowledge of Wood and PVC composite extrusion processes, technologies, and machinery.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (preferred).
- Expertise in ERP and manufacturing management systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to drive change, engage teams, and deliver measurable business impact.
- Production Efficiency: 5-10% improvement in OEE.
- Cost Reduction: 5-10% annual savings through process optimization.
