This position can be located at our corporate headquarters in the West Fulton Market District of Chicago, IL, or at our Wilmington, OH and Scranton, PA manufacturing facilities, featuring a hybrid work schedule.
Position Summary
We are looking for a visionary leader to oversee our EDI and Integration Technology initiatives. This dynamic position involves managing existing EDI operations while driving the selection, design, and implementation of cutting-edge integration technologies. Your expertise will empower our data integration strategy and enhance our operational capabilities. Position Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Vision
- Define and recommend a future-state technology roadmap that aligns investments with our goals for scalability and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize EDI and integration initiatives that boost business growth and operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative EDI solutions.
- Lead the exploration and implementation of new tools and technologies for EDI and data integration across internal and external systems.
Leadership & Management
Guide a team of professionals, promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.Mentor team members, ensuring they develop the skills necessary for success.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align goals and expectations.Work with IT colleagues to create a robust architecture and governance framework that ensures security and compliance.Manage budgets and financial plans, using industry benchmarks for comparison.Engage with vendors to manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service quality.Subject Matter Expertise and Execution
Act as the subject matter expert for EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and integration protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, FTPS).Design and oversee the development of EDI maps and integration solutions based on business needs.Manage project lifecycles for EDI and integration initiatives, from roadmapping to support and optimization.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.Work with trading partners to meet established EDI requirements.Create and maintain comprehensive technical specification documents.Provide support for EDI-related issues with internal teams and external partners.Establish EDI performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and lead continuous improvement efforts.Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience
Demonstrated leadership experience in EDI and integration management, preferably in retail or manufacturing.Strong proficiency with EDI mapping and integration tools (e.g., TrueCommerce, IBM, Sterling B2B Integrator).Extensive knowledge of EDI standards and integration protocols.Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (e.g., JDEdwards) and their integration with EDI solutions.Excellent leadership and team-building skills.Strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities and a proactive customer-focused approach.Other Knowledge / Skills
