Production Line Technician: We are seeking an experienced Production Line Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to aluminum extrusions using Gema spray guns and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. To succeed in this role, you will need strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise and consistent work. You should also have basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

- Powder Coating Application:
- Apply powder coatings to aluminum extrusions using Gema spray guns.
- Monitor and control coating thickness, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finishes.
- Manually touch up and coat areas missed by automated systems.
- Pre-Treatment and Preparation:
- Complete pre-treatment processes in accordance with company standards.
- Assist in the 5-stage chemical wash process, including degrease, rinse, zirconium conversion coating, rinse, and sealant stages.
- Prepare and properly hang aluminum extrusions on the conveyor line for optimal coating application.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect parts for surface defects and ensure they meet quality standards before and after coating.
- Conduct routine checks and make necessary adjustments to Gema spray guns to maintain optimal performance.
- Record and report any defects or issues promptly to prevent production delays.
- Maintenance and Safety:
- Maintain zero incidents of safety violations and ensure equipment is operational with less than 1% downtime.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of spray guns and other equipment to prevent malfunctions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in powder coating or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with Gema spray guns and automated conveying systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise and consistent work.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
