AZEK is seeking a Senior Plant Manager / Director of Manufacturing to lead operations at one of our key manufacturing sites. This is a high-impact leadership role, directly managing the Company’s largest exterior trim manufacturing operation (recently celebrated its 25th anniversary) and overseeing significant capital expansion projects totaling $50-$75 million to support future growth.
This leader will drive operational excellence, optimize production, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment and has experience with PVC, plastics, and polymer manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead plant operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement, aligning with AZEK’s growth strategy.
- Growth & Expansion: Oversee large-scale capital projects ($50-$75 million) and facility expansions to support increased production capacity.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize plant output, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless operations and adherence to customer quality expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Talent Development & Leadership: Build, mentor, and engage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and safety.
- Financial & Budgetary Oversight: Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and inventory levels to align with business objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Ensure manufacturing processes meet the highest standards for safety, environmental compliance, and product quality.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry Expertise: 8 years of manufacturing leadership, preferably in PVC, composite, plastics, or polymer processing.
- Leadership & Execution: Proven track record of leading manufacturing teams and delivering operational improvements.
- Business Acumen: Ability to manage large budgets and contribute strategically to the company’s financial growth.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is a plus.
- Self-Motivated & Agile: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
