What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Supervisor position at The AZEK Group LLC?
This role supervises staff in the accounts payable department and reports to Azek's Assistant Controller. The Supervisor must ensure that all the procedures and functions of his/her department align with the management objectives and comply with US GAAP and SOX. Also, the Supervisor should instill and promote an environment of best practices, efficiency, and scalability for the AP organization. The Supervisor should also be someone that is trustworthy, practical, and experienced since he/she plays vital roles in the daily transactions of the Company's business that is consistently growing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the AP department including Vendor Relations and the AP disbursement group, which handles all payment disbursements and 1099-related matters for multiple ERP systems and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the department’s work.
- Develops, implements, and maintains processes and policies, including accounts payable functions, to ensure adherence to Company guidelines.
- This includes trainings & education related to the creation and timing of purchase orders.Manages monthly closing reports for financial records and posting of month-end information; ensures accuracy of reporting used in financial statements, in conjunction with Corporate Accounting.
o This is inclusive of open A/P listings to be utilized in the Accounting team’s creation of monthly accruals
- Reports out weekly A/P open items to respective business partners.
- Acts as a liaison between the Company, government, and external accountants to meet information needs and ensure that correct information is maintained for historical purposes.
- Selects and hires employees for the groups mentioned above. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivate and rewards employees, including providing salary recommendations.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of progressive leadership positions in Accounts Payable
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.
- Large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, operations, vendors, and upper management
- Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $72,000 to $92,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
