What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Lab Technician II position at The AZEK Group LLC?
Hourly Rate: $29.00 an hour. The hours are M-F 7-3, or 8-4 with flexibility on the schedule!
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Assist in expanding our understanding and use of PVC products to characterize and specify recycled PVC blends.
- Assist in a phase or key part of a project by analyzing processes, products, or equipment against desired results, including formulation characterization.
- Utilize pilot and lab scale mixing and extrusion equipment to generate and process test blends.
- Conduct experiments to improve upon or duplicate various materials and processes.
- Recommends improvements to R&D instrumentation, equipment, and lab procedures based on results analyzed.
- Assist in all trial runs, field evaluations and analysis of customer requirements for a project.
- Presents meaningful results and unbiased conclusions to R&D and other technical functions.
- Adhere to Safety First and the "I believe in ZERO" approach in all activities
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an Associate Degree in engineering, applied or physical science.
Other desired skills:
- Working knowledge of polymer processing analysis, testing and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and report data, including testing equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Understands lab scale processes and technologies for mixing and/or extrusion.
