Hours: M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour.
Position Summary
The Outbound Shipment Verifier is responsible for ensuring order accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation for all outgoing shipments. This role requires thorough verification of shipping details, ERP system checks, and maintaining digital records to support seamless logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Order Verification & Accuracy
- Ensure all outbound shipments are accurately picked and verified against ERP system records.
- Examine and inspect skids, materials, and products to meet packing specifications.
- Verify shipping details against pick tickets, bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Accurately label skids or products with the correct order and shipping information.
Digital Documentation & Record Keeping
- Capture and store digital photos of each outbound order for future reference.
- Maintain an electronic database of all paperwork linked to outbound orders by sales order number.
- Utilize Smart Sheets and ERP tools to track and update order status.
Logistics & Retail Vendor Coordination
- Monitor and provide backup support for small package and will-call shipments.
- Maintain an inventory of labels specific to retail customer requirements.
- Communicate daily shipping issues and updates with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams.
Process Compliance & Safety
- Follow all plant safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipping and verification processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Logistics Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years in shipping, logistics, order verification, or warehouse operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, Smart Sheets, and digital tracking tools.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to verify orders with 99% accuracy.
- Problem-Solving & Communication: Ability to proactively address order discrepancies and coordinate with teams.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize and meet shipping deadlines.
Work Environment
- Warehouse & production environment with both desk-based and active floor work.
- Frequent use of computers, iPads, barcode scanners, and labeling equipment.
- Regular standing, walking, and lifting for order verification and documentation.
