What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Manager position at The AZEK Group LLC?
- Lead the development and implementation of Supplier Quality management systems and processes that include but are not limited to:
- SCAR process and Vendor Scorecards
- DPPM Reporting
- Overseas Vendor Quality Management
- Vendor selection and qualification and onboarding
- Tier 2 & Tier 3 Vendor Evaluation
- Vendor quality audits
- Third-Party supplier quality management
- Supplier Quality requirements for cost savings efforts
- Intercompany quality processes? i.e. Versatex to Scranton, etc
- Work with Procurement/R&D/Quality/Suppliers [as appropriate] to establish and maintain documented quality requirements/specs for purchased finished goods and raw materials.
- Align incoming inspection requirements with suppliers. Resolve gaps to assure inspections processes do not create unnecessary waste and issues between suppliers and Quality department(s),
- Assure Supplier Quality Processes are harmonized between AZEK sites so Suppliers are not held to different standards based on shipping location.
- Lead effort to align color requirements for purchased components.
- Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are technology capable and meet all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Effectively lead and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills required.
- Must be able to travel internationally.
Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred, or ten years equivalent work experience
Experience: Five plus years in supplier quality management with overseas vendors
Experience working across multiple production facilities preferred.
Experience with plastic, steel and aluminum preferred.
Computer Skills: JDE, Minitab, MS Office, Quality Window V (or other database skills)
Certifications and Licenses: CQE, Six Sigma Certifications a plus
Other Requirements: Knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO, Six Sigma, TQ, PDSA
